Dear Sir,
Several days now I have been following the stories regarding Sakineh Ashtiani and Zainab Jalalian’s
pending execution in Iran.
In all the updates on these news stories I have not seen anywhere that the U.N. had voiced any concern
regarding these miss-carriages of justice or others such as the Government of Iran executing children.
It seems to me that your organization as a upholder of human rights would at the very least be making
strong Public statements regarding Iran’s executions by stoning and other punishments such as severing the
fingers and amputations of arms and legs for alleged or imagined crimes.
These actions remind me of tactic’s used by Hitler and his henchmen and maybe even worse considering
the torture inflicted on these unfortunate people that fell victim to those in charge in Iran.
I have begun to think of these people as animals, but even this thought is wrong animals kill for food. I have
no idea where they might fit in the chain of life certainly not as human beings.
I am requesting immediate action by you and your organization these to cases as it might be the difference
between life and death for these two individuals that have fell victim to this criminal enterprise.
